Can a minor or child open a Seven Bank account?

ANSWER
There is no age restriction for opening a Seven Bank account. Minors and children can open an account.

By sending the application form by mail

An applicant who is under the age of 15 needs to submit the signature and identification document of the applicant's parent or legal guardian in addition to the two identification documents of the applicant.

(An applicant who is aged 15 does not need to submit the signature and identification document of the applicant's parent or legal guardian but is eligible to make an application only by mail.)

There are age restrictions for applying for the following services.
(1) Debit Service: aged 16 or over
(2) International Money Transfer Service: aged 18 or over
(3) Loan Service: aged 20 or over but under 70* 
*If the customer is a foreign national, having the status of permanent resident in Japan
